Cars 3 revved up its engine and proved the franchise was still racing fast ahead as it opened to $53.7M this weekend. All Eyez on Me despite poor critical reception found sizeable audience interested in the late rapper’s biopic as it opened to $26.4M.
Shark attack thriller, 47 Meters Down surprised many, exceeding many predictions to open to a healthy $11M. On the opposite end, Rough Night underperformed studio expectations, opening at a low $8M.
